You should do some reading about him. Trust me, the further you go down the rabbit hole, the worse it gets. Reed Albergotti and Vanessa O'Connell's book Wheelmen has some of the more gory details about him not covered elsewhere. (Published here in the UK, so I tend to believe it all because of our stringent libel laws.)

And based on this trailer, I think that we'll see his worst side. He and Michele Ferrari look like villains and Walsh the hero in this movie.

I definetly respect lance armstrong. All the movies i have seen has shown me a man determinated to do anything to Win. From when he was young and innocent and won the wc to when he tried to Win the tour for his comeback. It is clear to see that there is a few People Who cant stand his succes. The worst is betsie. She cant stand him being better than her husband. And her husband is just wipped and does anything she makes him. She is so angre that her husbands cycling had to stop so soon.

shareIt's more complex than that. Your correct, Lance took a lot of people down to protect his "brand." Yet no one can deny he did a lot in raising money for cancer research and helped many sick children. Humans are complex beings.

He was able to achieve many good things for other people outside of his cycling career, like raise money for cancer research and build a community that took inspiration from his own cancer journey.
So much of what he did was predicated on a lie. He needs to live with that.
But I can't respect someone whose personal ambition to win was at the expense of others whose character he tore down. He ruined people's reputation. He accepted the honor of being hailed a hero.
The fact that Armstrong was a giant hypocrite will be his lasting legacy.

The rot obviously runs deep. He couldn't have deceived the world for so long without telling other, seemingly lesser, lies along the way.
There's a particular notorious celebrity in the UK, I won't mention his name but he is no longer alive, who raised millions for charity, ran marathons in his 60s - it was subsequently discovered after he died that he ruined many people's lives. Not one person has respect for him because his bad behaviour negated any goodwill he achieved for his charitable work.
Am not comparing the two's behaviour because they were very different but what you cannot say is that just because somebody raises monies for charity should in any way whatsoever absolve them of the consequences of terrible actions on others. And don't forget the bullying of people that took place was inexcusable.

All the doping aside, I've read and heard some pretty despicable things about the way he discarded his family after finding fame. I live and grew up in Austin, and let's just say his treatment and neglect of his family was not a secret. In a lot of ways this is a small town... Kids that went to school with his kids (and their parents) had some pretty devastating things to say-- some of which I heard firsthand.
I realize that cheating is rampant in sports, but abandoning your wife and children for a Hollywood life is unforgivable. There is no reason to respect someone like that... Especially someone who was supposed to be a role model.

Lance Armstrong always threatening, bullying, and hurting the lives of people who could expose his "secret" was far worse IMO than him taking PEDs, which I think is just an unfortunate fact about most competitive sports.
