Did you like this movie?

This movie gets a lot of hate by the people, and a lot of love by the critics. Personally I loved this movie. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it. The humour wasn't forced, nor grotesquely crude. It was clever in that it parodied spy films. Like the scene where Jude Law is running down a hill towards a boat and 10 bad guys are behind him shooting, all of them missing. That's the kind of thing you see in spy films. The difference is, its not supposed to be funny in spy films. That's why I think this movie succeeds. So, what do you think? Did you like it or not?

So you loved watching the close-up of an overweight lady barfing from a balcony over a dead man, of her acrobatically fighting with trained men and defeating them, and so on. Not a stray bullet scratch on her, not a drop of sweat after all that running and beating. You'll say it's a parody, I'll say it's not because it's not funny. At all. Except Jason Statham's bits.

Is this bothering you?

I liked this movie. Melissa McCarthy is very likable.

What's there to like? Shakespeare's tragedies are more funny than this.

Yes, I liked it. Watched it last night and laughed a lot at the James Bond and Jason Bourne parodies with a bit of True Lies thrown in to name a few. Michael McDonald's character as the gadget guy was hilarious and the swearing gave it a realistic feel. Rated it 8/10

Where is the True Lies bit?
I missed that one...

A nuclear device was the McGuffin in both movies along with general silliness of fake spies like Bill Paxton's character and the Latin lover character who liked big bosoms.

I loved it. It was a fresh air between so many overly vulgar, brainless teen (I'm not saying teens are brainless, only the sh!tty movies about them), forced comedies. It didn't come with anything new, but it had every aspect a good comedy needed. Usual story, funny moments, just enough action to keep the story rolling, it was fun.

I would absolutely love to know from all of the people saying that this movie was awful what their standard is for comedy, and what their favorite comedic films have been from the last ten years. This movie was hilarious. I can't remember the last time I've laughed so hard watching a movie. I do wonder if the people who hated it were either James Bond movie fans who didn't like seeing the spy genre subverted, or people who aren't fans of action movies at all who are pissed because this movie was a blend of the two.

I (Dad) and my teens watched it twice and laughed out loud so many times. Jason Statham's Braggadocio at being the world's best CIA agent is worth the price of admission alone! ($1.50 at Red Box) I don't know how people disliked this movie so harshly.
