How come Claire and Brianna are so woke with their attitude toward blacks?!? They are supposed to be from the 1950's, so their attitude should reflect that time not the 2000's Political Correctness wokeness. In the 1950's they probably would be dating White Supremist guys
shareIt should be noted that even in times when slavery was legal, as well as racism towards non-whites, there were white people who did not think it was right, and that such treatment contradicted America's founding values. The Quakers were some of the first to think so, and they predated the abolitionists of the 1800s by a whole century and a half! The trouble was, such people were in the minority, with those in power keeping their foot on the slavery/racism gig as hard as they could with laws and public opinion.
