Is it really that bad?

I remember thinking ReeseW had some impressive comedic skills back when I first watched Election at the movies. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't think I've seen those skills since then. This movie sounds great on paper (female Midnight Run) and that other woman seems funny and a good mismatch, but I hear it all falls flat and that it's not entertaining or funny. Was it the script? The acting? Was there no chemistry?

Reese has been coasting on that Oscar for about a decade now. She's lucky she produced Gone Girl.

I feel bad for that Sophia actress. She's beautiful and seems funny. This was her one shot at a film career. She won't be anchoring anymore theatrical releases.

Just watched it after getting it out of the Redbox. Given all the negative comments I wasn't expecting much, but I found it to be pretty entertaining. I thought Reese and Sofia worked well together. And, of course, Sofia is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely worth a look.

Sofia is always "worth a look". But it would have been nice to have constant captioning so I could figure out what the heck she was trying to say when "speaking" English...

Never did I deny Witherspoon and Vergara's talents, but I did pity the two for this movie, feeling like watch two great cook making a full meal out of a gif of an ox.

Was it the script?

The script is pretty bad, it doesn't make any attempt at being original in any way, it's the 3222'd buddy movie with the same script

The acting?

Yeah the acting is pretty pitiful Reese attempts at being funny but fails miserably and Sofia is just annoying

Was there no chemistry?

Nope, zero chemistry between Reese and Sophia
