Great survival movie. Any others?

My favorite type of movies are survival movies, sometimes with limited characters.
This movie was very well made.
Any other movies you guys could recommend like this?
What is the best bear horror movie?

7.5/10

Some that have not been mentioned.

Grizzly or Red Machine - Good Actors but not the best movie.
Willow Creek
Prey (2007) - Low budget and some bad acting and not for everyone.
Animal (2014)

Some others you might want to check out

Dead Calm (1989)
The Pack (1977)
Cujo
Burning Bright
Lake Placid
Primeval (2007)
Feast (2005)
The Relic (1997)

Enjoy

I just watched this and it reminded me a lot of Eden Lake, if the bear was a group of psychotic teenagers and got off on its sadistic tendencies. Though who knows, maybe the bear was a sadist. I'd buy it. Others in the genre of people vs animals and/or mother nature that I've enjoyed include:

Rogue
Prey (not the best movie but a fun watch all the same)
The Canyon
The Descent - if you like a much more horror-oriented story with a claustrophobic bent, this is a goodun'
Primeval
The Ghost and the Darkness
Lake Placid
Anaconda
Bait
The Reef
Open Water - essentially the same movie but with two people in the water battling sharks instead of in the woods battling Mr. Sado Bear
Frozen (2010)
Wind Chill

Non-animal films in the survival genre that pit people against other people in a survival scenario:
Eden Lake (just had to mention it one more time)
Preservation
Wolf Creek
The Mooring
High Tension - this one might be a stretch and it's pretty violent and gory so if you're bothered by over the top hacking and slashing, skip this one
Black Rock - though be warned, that movie kinda sucks. Like, a lot. But it definitely has that survival theme and the people on people predatory violence going for it. And boobs!
And the pièce de résistance in the people surviving other people with an added bonus of cruel, cruel nature category, Deliverance.

If you are into bear attacks, in particular, then The Edge (1997) is your movie.

I think some recommendations are out of place. You don't want the mainstream stuff like Tom Hanks Cast Away, or Sci-Fi-ish stuff like Anaconda, right?

If you want the same feel as this movie, then definitely view these three:

Black Water
The Reef
Open Water

Black Water is also Australia, substitute Bear with Crocodile. It's a good one.

Splinter (2008).

It is not about the survival of Jenn. I think more of a story of one obstinate selfish jealous ever constipated foolish lovestruck prick, and of a naive ever willing kowtowing doubtful bitch. Who will put your much loved girlfriend in such mortal danger just to impress her with your skill of the wild?

Most of what I would have recommended has already been said. whatwazdat nailed it for films most like Backcountry. I would personally recommend 'Essential Killing' over anything else and nobody has mentioned 'Rescue Dawn' or 'Touching the Void' which are very good. Also, I watched 'Against the Sun' recently which is worth checking out.

There's a very decent "men vs. grizzly" movie with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin: The Edge. Not very realistic but it has a lot of tension and great performances.
