It's a question that needs to be asked.

More so as a bar of quality.

It's a short way of saying:

Is the story going to be compromised for shoehorning in an unrelated message about current USA politics.

Forgetting that the movie will be released worldwide and not everybody in the world cares to be bashed on the head about USA politics and made to feel guilty about being white and male. I know Indians don't feel guilty about being white.

Are the characters going to be inserts of the script writers?

For example, the awful Star Wars Acolyte and the terrible story was based around Leslie Headlamps relationship to her sister, and she's a lesbian, so a lesbian tribe were added.

Characters won't organically exist in the universe. For example, Top Gun: Maverick. Multicultural cast organically existing within the story without much fanfare, as is life.

Woke tainted projects have characters compromised for shoehorning in a checkbox, which is then wasted because the focus was the scriptwriters congratulating each other on adding a checkbox, and they forgot to focus on building a good character. Merely expecting a checkbox to be enough, then jazz hands!

There are 100 other caveats under the "woke" umbrella. I probably don't need to explain each one.

Just say "Lame" and it simplifies things.

Depends what you think "woke is". The original "woke" or the delusional far left extremist "woke". And why is this a question for every new movie that comes out? Expand your thought process. What you believe is woke might not be for someone else. It seems there are different levels nowadays, instead of one meaning.
