If you are looking for CGI infected, brainless fun, go see Transformers. But if you want to see a thinking person's sci-fi film, this one's for you. Sure, reviewers can take pot shots at this or that alleged failing. So what? Every movie has its detractors and yes, even, its flaws. Be your own thinker. See this movie and decide for yourself.

Yeah, I thought it was a good film and they even got the computer tech parts right. The hacking parts were very realistic

shareI didn't really see it as being "a thinking person's sci-fi," but it was weird and kinda freaky (and some of the visual effects were very good imo.) I watch a lot of movies, though, and I've enjoyed it on two full and several partial viewings. It is very good, agreed.

I enjoyed, "The Signal". There is a lot of suspense and trying to figure out what is going on. I thought the cast was very good. There are moments where it drags, but the ending was worth the wait!

No it isn't. But it was ok. At least it was entertaining for more than 10 minutes, unlike 2001: A Space Odyssey.
