I absolutely loved this show, I've now seen it for the second time and was wondering what other shows or films have the same 'future guy in the past' vibe like this and Back to the Future
I love how these stories play out so I was curious if there's any similar shows or films like this ot BTTF
I would definitely recommend Life on Mars (the British version, NOT the botched American version). It's about a modern day UK Cop stuck back in 1970's Britain. It's very good.
After that, check out Ashes to Ashes (which is the british follow-up to Life on Mars), which is also good.
As for films, I'd recommend Midnight in Paris, also Pleasantville.
"Outlander" and "Time Tunnel" TV series. Also, the campy "It's About Time". New 2016 show "Timeless". Star Trek series and spinoffs/movies repeatedly show time travel, too.
shareBeen slowly watching Continuum. It's decent. About a cop from 2077 (when corporations are the government, and there's very little true freedom), who ends up in 2012 chasing fugitives from 2077. There's some questionable CGI and the story drags at times, but the premise is interesting enough to keep you watching.
Also, Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise - great movie.
I rather enjoyed the American version of Life On Mars...but I love Harvey Keitel, and the soundtrack was crazy good. It was cancelled early and they had to rush an ending that was pretty radical...never saw the British version.
