A good, fun, Cult-Classic Gore-Heavy Supernatural Comedy Horror

Lots of genres rolled into one. I thought it was solid. Art was funny, especially pushing those girls on the stairs ("You racist piece of shit!" lol, wut? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚), the unnecessary and over-the-top gore was aplenty (gratuitously, comedically violent, and I'm not someone who particularly likes too much gore, but this movie, in parts, did make me lol at how ridiculous the violence got at points; it's kind of like the whole 'it's so bad it's good'), the lore is pretty interesting with the supernatural twist(s - continuing from the previous movie), and it (evidently) doesn't take itself seriously.

I know it has been done before but actually I don't think I've personally seen a movie with Christmas and Horror mixed (yes I've seen trailers for other movies that do it, and maybe Nightmare Before Christmas but that doesn't count πŸ˜‚), but as I'd watched the previous Terrifier movies (and the earlier movies featuring Art), I was intrigued in this one not just for the sequel but how they'd mix the two. Sure it had its plot holes and other downsides (one of the main ones being the young mime-clown girl wasn't in it from the last movie), but I think some people take movies way too seriously, and this one kept me engaged and entertained throughout.

Ending credits music was peak; In comparison to the last movie, of which synth-wave was a big part of it, I only noticed a few chords of a synth-wave song about halfway through this movie, but apart from that there really wasn't any; then the end credits finally had a full song, and it was awesome! Added to playlist!

Also: Y2J!

A soft 7/10.

Good to know. Looking forward to catching this (although bummed that clown girl isn't in it). Am I right in thinking we see Sienna in her angel warrior outfit again?

reply

If I remember correctly; you do see her in the outfit briefly but I think only in a flashback or two from the previous movie.

That's a shame!
