the scene in ep 1 with the two white guys steering the ship and saving people and shit is such a stupid delusional white fantasy that it's hilarious. i mean yea the japanese didn't know how to sail far from shore but they sure as fuck knew how to sail. why in the hell would they not know how to handle a storm and why would they let some white asshole steer the ship? what a fucking joke.

in ep 1, when they sailed from izu to osaka, for some reason they had the spaniard pilot the ship. when i say save people i mean they commanded the situation and they survived the storm. there's a scene of the english guy going into the lower deck and screaming shit in english like ROW. then the local lord gets scared and runs to one of the open oars to help row. what a fucking fantasy.
