The first one had some sort of point to make about the nature of people and society.
This one just weird prison gore fest cash in I assume? ( havent seen it)
It was much the same but more about 'community' efforts and rules they have established. It introduced some new ideas regarding gangs and the feeling of hopelessness continues, but a bit more gore also.
