Absolutely. However, 9.9 is still remarkably high for having nearly 2000 voters. 2000 isn't nothing. If it were 500, I wouldn't bat an eye. This must be some film.
shareMost people that voted on imdb have never even seen the movie. Nuri Bilge Ceylan's movies always get voted very high because of his big Turkish following, they have multiple facebook pages, blogs, sites dedicated to him and they encourage the Turkish population to rate as high as possible anywhere they possibly can. As for me I've never seen this movie but knowing his previous written and directed movies I think I'll pass, he's just another cut and paste Indie director.
shareI really have to disagree with you on this. NBC's films, on the contrary, have so few followers in Turkey. His Palme D'Or winning wasn't even on the news, except for one or two channels.

Unfortunately NBC's films have a very few followers in Turkey. I wish it was so many but not.
Even so many people in Turkey do not know his name and what he is really doing.
He is not a person that TVs and the other media channels get really interested in Turkey.
So I do not agree with your opinion. And I think that most of the voters are out of Turkey.
Exactly, even Incendes didn't get a 9 and that film actually is *beep* amazing!
I saw the movie tonight and rated it 9. It is truly masterful.
