Not a "ballerina"

The character is a girl about fourteen years old. She may be a ballet student, even an advanced one, but she's not likely to even be a professional dancer yet, let alone a ballerina. The term ballerina refers to the elite female superstars of the ballet. Most female ballet dancers are not ballerinas, and no little girls are.

She's certainly not a prima ballerina (principal dancer).
But she's a ballerina (dancer).

The "elite female superstars of the ballet" (OP) are prima ballerinas. 🩰

The character is a vampure several hundred years old. She had plenty of time to be professional.
