- Even more game-changing choices - the only choices that mattered was if a character lived or died, and if they died, it didn't matter that much on the story. For example, Josh, Sam, and Mike can't die until the end of the game. A sequel should have the story completely change with your choices. A lot like when they were all betting on who the monster would be in Cabin in the Woods - the choices you make will decide what the monster will be: Slasher, Saw-like murderer, zombies, ghosts, werewolves, and of course, angry molesting trees.
There should also be completely different characters, UNLESS they follow the characters, assuming all of them survived except Josh (who turned into a Wendigo), as they go through therapy sessions with Dr. Hill. We could see some of them slowly go insane (based on the choices we make, of course.)
Also, I think there should be no Wendigos because I thought the game was at its best when we though a Jigsaw-like psycho murderer was coming after us, while something else more supernatural was going on at the same time. The best part of the game, for me, was when we had to decide to short ourself (as Chris) or Ashley, and when the psycho revealed himself BEFORE Josh revealed it was a prank. In fact, I would be perfectly happy if they did a straight-up Saw game next time.
I agree that there should have been more choices to take away Sam, Mike and Josh's plot armours but I thing a Cabin in the Woods choice to decide which monster is a bit much.
I think the Psycho should have been connected to the Wendigos, maybe make him one of them.
Maybe the game would have been better if he, the Stranger and the miners were just cannibal killers.
It starts with Dr. Hill talking to a PC as a patient.
The PCs are not all teens this time but the adult PCs are not very capable. Some are downright unstable.
About a third into the game Sam enters as a paranormal investigator. She's the Van Helsing of the story who is now knowledgable about totems and burial grounds and things.
Question is, is what is claiming victims that night something supernatural or is it one of Hill's missing patients? Or is it one in the group playing an elaborate game?
I call this idea "Until Dawn: Returns".
"Need" is just a fiction. As is "should", "must", "value" and "importance".
I'd like to see new settings and new people, and clearly NEW MONSTERS! 🇷🇴 Like, a group of teens go to Romania for summer trip, their bus breaks down on some lonely road in the carpathian forest and they need to survive in the woods. Clearly, there will be vampires. (No glitter twillight vamps, but real rip-your-head-off vamps). I've been there. Those woods are scary as *beep* at night!
