Is it not racist that they call the black characters 'Blackie'?

I have to say that this primitive portrayal of black men we have seen thus far is somewhat disappointing.

I spoke to cousin Francis today who recently watched the show. He confirmed that there were at least 5 different characters referred to as 'Blackie'.

I think its a language side of things. In Spanish negro means black and if you referrer to somewhere of someone with a black skin, that's how its said. In addition you didnt notice that many black people in Colombia, in the series anyway.

In Russian its normal to call a black person negro but its bad to say that some one is black.

Pablo Escobar is a drug dealer. Of course he's not going to be politically correct. He also makes a lot of gay slurs.

I don't think he was racist though (not that it matters he was a murderer), the only color he cared about was green.
