Once again, the trailers lied!

Only the first half of the movie takes place at the concert. I won't say what happens, but the 2nd half takes place in different locations and it gets dumber and more implausible the more it goes on. I was bored and getting a headache of how dumb it was I almost walked out. Was a total waste of two hours and money. The whole movie should've taken place at the concert, but I guess that would've been too difficult for Shamahack to write.

Quitting watching trailers years ago has increased my enjoyment of films considerably.

Considering it's been playing before almost every movie for the past two months it's been hard to avoid

reply

I literally, and I use that word literally, avert my eyes if it's for a movie I think I'd watch. It's a commitment, let me tell you. :D

reply

😂

I do this as well, but also cover my ears. I want to walk into every movie without any spoilers whatsoever. All trailers must die.

reply

I’m the same way. I intentionally try to pay little attention to or forget trailers for movies I want to see when I see them in theaters, except noting the title and the release date

reply

Amen. Nowadays they usually either misrepresent the movie or basically tell you the whole plot ime. Neither case is a positive for me.

One of the things I hate about trailers in particular is the INFINITY WAR Trailer where it shows the Battle on Wakanda and it shows all the heroes charging up the field including the HULK and when you watch that scene in the movie itself, the HULK is not even in it and is Banner controlling the HULKBUSTER suit instead and I thought that was incredibly misleading

reply

Wtf? This was actually a great thing, and the movie was awesome!

reply

I agree that the movie would have been better if it was set completely in the arena.

I think that was meant to be the twist, which Hartnett's character revealed in the kitchen: "Maybe the Trap wasn't the concert, maybe it was you" (or something like that). The Trap was his family, not the concert. So the FBI all along assumed he would get away only to come back to see his wife at the end, where they'd be waiting for him

reply

I was hoping that the wife would be the butcher and Hartnett was covering for her. Oh well.
