Beyond by far!
Into Darkness had blatant fan service in referencing everything possible like Tribbles, Carol Marcus (but now she's hot and in underwear!) and repeating the Wrath of Khan plot except backwards. Spock is completely out of character once again, almost everyone in the movie is not like the original versions of their characters, they just picked pop culture aspects of them and focused on that one thing. Spock can now scream and cry and punch the bad guy repeatedly with his many emotions and Kirk is a total frat boy that doesn't follow the rules, Khan is now just a psycho serial killer trope for no reason and not even that smart. nothing like the REAL characters. Bones is pushed aside for Uhura as the third main character I guess, but she is in love with Spock because Hollywood films must have a love story no matter what. It has better action, but that is it.
In contrast Beyond, while having some weak elements, endures the spirit of the original Star Trek films and series, with the characters being much closer to the original ones, a plot which is more coherent and original (not fully, but at least it wasn't just stringing together action set pieces like Orci and Kurtzman do in almost every film they write [see Transformers 2, Amazing Spider-Man 2, into darkness, and more]), and not rehashing stuff we have already seen due to fan service.
