The reasons why this film flopped

1. People didn't really understand the time travel concept and the portion where time punishes hatter to be stuck at tea time
2. Johnny Depp's character was not really friendly and funny

Ummm....its really simple.
Because the first one wasn't very good. Why see the sequel?

Have you ever noticed that the people who say "DC is for adults and Marvel is for kids", are kids?

reply

Because Linda Woolverton on her own is a crappy screenwriter.

reply

People didn't think it was a Burton movie, but it was.

Never mind the film flopped, point is I have a passionate hate for this one. At a certain age you KNOW you can't take time for granted, you can't take your loved ones for granted, WHO thinks people need to be informed about this??? More important, so many in the world can NEVER take either for granted, and often for them time and/or their "clock" running out is the very last thing they are worried about. It's an utterley complacent piece of Hollywood in which they and those of us watching this are telling everyone else to go punch themselfs in the deck, as you see, we have so much to worry about ourselfs. Lovely. Still recommend it for 5-10 year old kids, kind of.

But you gave the completely pointless, incredibly boring Cast Away a 9?

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

the proper villain is time and senility, since mad hatter is a representation of alice's senile father, alice wants to blame time, but cannot because time happens to everyone.
