So bad people are walking out of the theatre

From early screenings.
What are you talking about?
Helps if you can actually post a valid link.
Movie is not screening anywhere...you are making this shit up.
Here's the link that comes up from WorldClassBullshitters: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bytN_FXVLXA
It's making reference to Doomcock's leaks.
Fun as they are to listen to, I'm suspect of these reports as well, but I also can't see them investing $600 million in a movie with no testing (or only testing with family & friends), the idea is absurd.
As to how they're selecting their test audiences is another question, however.
I watched The Force Awakens in a foreign, non-Western country where SW is not very popular and some of the plot elements such as "the force" probably translate very poorly, and I kid you not, people were walking out of the theatre. I honestly couldn't believe it because I've never seen more than maybe one person walk out of a theatre while the film is still playing prior to this experience. I'm not sure what the source of this is, but I can believe it.
sharedude you are making this stuff up.
Disney or LF doesn't do test screenings for star wars movies. never have and never will.
Is there a source for this claim? As it is common practice for high profile Hollywood productions to make these screenings, the burden of proof lies on those who state the opposite.
sharethere are no test screenings for TROS. I don't remember test screenings for TFA,TLJ and R1 and Solo.
shareYou don't remember any test screenings, therefore there are no test screenings?
Flawless logic you have there.
Why would they tell anyone about any details concerning any test screenings, much less you or the media (especially if the results were not positive)?
Do you really think that they're dumping $500+ million into a consumer product and have NO idea how their target customer base will react to it???
Imbecile
shareI hope this actually will Happen when it’s released. I want this to fail so bad thanks to Ruin Johnson’s treatment of Luke.
shareThat wouldn't happen if they never went to these horrible Disney travesties to begin with.
Lucas should have retired this in 2005 with Episode III. No other Star Wars should have been made.
These Disney films are trash, a disease.
My brother in law asks if I like the Mandelorian.
I do not watch Disney Star Wars.
I won't see the dumb Boba Fett show, Solo or this episode IX.
Star Wars is dead.
If this was true, and I don't believe it is, only the most die hard fans would go to an early screening. Star Wars fans are extremely passionate. Sometimes people let their emotions get the best of them. If people walked out I would question their maturity and their adversity resilience. They probably didn't have very hard lives.
shareScreen tests deliberately bring in random people. Just having SW fans is not a good litmus test.
My GF went to the Matrix screening months before the movie was even announced.
There is no screen tests to the public for TROS, only the Disney executives
sharesource?
shareBob Iger
shareHe told you? Cool.
shareNo, its documented in his book
shareReally?
Iger's book, published/released September 23, 2019 while the film was being reshot and/or in post production, in a book probably ghost-written between June 2018 & June 2019 before heading to the editors, mentioned in that book that there were no test screenings for RoS, a statement which would have been written while the film was still in production?
. . . man that guy's good.
Refers to screenings for TFA and TLJ, no joe public
shareGive it up, Styles. Your sycophancy is beyond embarrassing.
They dont do test screenings to the public, accept this.
shareNo, they do it to test audiences, whom are people chosen from various demographics to try to gauge the expected general public response when the movie is released, and are paid for it. I didn't for one moment think that members of the public were invited to these test screenings as if they were regular cinemas.
