Yeah. I've only been on moviechat for awhile.
It's a big internet and places like this don't have a lot of people but certain kinds of trolls congregate in places like this.
Looking forward to discussing Star Wars with people who are into these movies but I'm blocking some of the jokers (or maybe it's one joker with multiple accounts).
Life is too short to argue with this type of person.
I've already begun blocking some people. It's very easy to tell who's your average, run of the mill fool and who are the losers who think they're soldiers fighting in an imaginary culture war that they and less than 1% of the world are waging.
Yeah. And I'm old enough to have seen it on Reddit, Facebook, and everywhere else.
It's just internet survival 101. So far I basically like this forum.
Thankfully, not too many "foot soldiers" have discovered MC. They are too busy fighting their battles on Reddit, 4chan, 8chan, Gab and all of these other internet toxic waste sites. Here's hoping they never come here.
8chan has been offline for more than 2 weeks, and the owner has been interrogated by the FBI because some mass shooter posted there. Of course, mass shooters posted in Facebook, instagram, twitter, and youtube too, but that's OK, they're 'friends'. Modern witch-hunt, as old witch-hunts, they're very selective.
Gab is barely surviving after having been taken offline several times.

Reading comprehension can also be selective. Take, for example, the fact that I said "and all of these other internet toxic waste sites." A person with reading comprehension would understand that "Facebook, instagram, twitter, and youtube" would be included as part of the equation. But someone lacking comprehension would assume I only meant "Reddit, 4chan, 8chan and Gab." Because apparently, it's not enough to just refer to other sites with an "and" to keep things short. You have to be super literal and name every other website, too.

I can't speak for the original poster, but for me, I don't mind intelligent discussions with someone with whom I disagree. The people I ignore are those who author angry or insulting posts, and those who post opinions without backing them up, and are unable or unwilling to discuss any of it in an intelligent manner.
It is getting rather tiresome to see the same rants over and over again.
I’m a diehard fan the beginning when the originals hit the big screen, not the biggest of fans of the prequels , was in hype over drive when the sequels were announced , was happy with TFA RO and Solo, TLJ I didn’t like and set me back a little , TROS and The Manadlorian has me excited again. Love stuff that connects directly with the OT so really looking forward to the mandalorian

Yeah.
When we were kids there was no internet and maybe there were angry people shouting at their walls about Star Wars somewhere, but I doubt it. Critics just said they didn't like it and went to other movies probably.
Disney's take on Star Wars isn't perfect but I like it.
I particularly like Rey as a hero. I worked at a toy story a couple of years ago and I saw little boys and girls getting into Star Wars. Princess Leah barely got to fly the spaceships in the old movies but these girls have rebel fighter pilots and Princess Leah commands like a boss now.
This trilogy is very similar to the original films and that's exactly as it should be as far as I'm concerned. Some people say they are remakes but if they are, they are good remakes and this cast and crew had the hard task of making Star Wars cool again. The action sequences, the John Williams music, the good vs. evil story. That's just Star Wars. Perhaps they plan to tinker with that formula in the next batch of movies but this has been a pretty good ride from where I stand.

You can't be serious. You like Flawless, Perfect Rey (TM) who can do absolutely nothing wrong and knows absolutely everything there is to know and is better than every other person in the galaxy? You must have the most BORING personality in the world, you and people like you.
Yeah I know gasp someone actually thinks differently than you. How dare he do that! He has such nerve! Life will go on bud. This is exactly the reason I can not stand these toxic fans. Grow up! I did not insult you for liking those trash prequels therefore do not insult others for liking these Disney Star Wars films.
Irrelevant. Do not insult others for a different point of view. I didn't insult you for liking those trash prequels. Time to grow up and treat people with respect.
No it isn't. You insulted someone for liking Rey. You don't we got it. I am not going to bother explaining to someone who will insult someone simply for having a different opinion. If I took your approach I would insult you for liking those trash prequels. Guess what I didn't I took the higher road.
i reported him. What he said was disgusting and then complains about trolls who disagree with him, wish i had screenshotted it. Hypocrite if i ever saw one.
But basically advocating for someone to die because he does not like the new Star Wars films.
Lke i said above typical leftist mentality, don't agree with me or i'll scream and call you names.
Nah dude. Please stop using "leftist" as a derogatory term. Everyone is a hater or a hero one time or another. Whenever you want to work together does not make you a commie, whenever you want to shoot trespassers does not make you a Trumpie.
Now, where were we? ..Oh yeah: fuçk Disney and their SW necrophilia.
If you like a franchise then enjoy it. What does it matter that not all others agree with you? It is a major loss if people only stay in their own bubble.
Youtubers defending "fans" who send death threats or attack an actor/actress to the point in which they become suicidal isn't OK. Youtubers attacking some fans based on race, gender or ideology in order to make a buck isn't OK. No way will I financially support those type of vloggers which happens if I continue to subscribe and watch their videos.
A civil discussion about the quality of a film is fine with me.
Are we trolls for continuously stating that we dislike these new Disney Star Wars movies? Maybe you're against the principles of Free Speech, but I and others like me WILL be heard because we've got to state our dissatisfaction with the way Star Wars is at the moment, and a malcontented few will not silence us.
