That's a very oppressive and dogmatic way to approach how people interprate film... The StarWars fans/nerds/"haters" are not a monolithic group.... Why would we expect them to speak with one coherant voice?!
Everyone brings part of themselves to a new movie, each person has their own experience of the film... This is basic knowledge in film as well as literary theory... π

Its not about gender. Its about plot holes, horrible story telling, horrible characters, destroying the Star Wars legacy and the OT characters (they even destroyed Leia, so how is that pro-women?).
