Burk, it lost from opening friday to next friday 77% income. That never ever happened before in SW movie gistory. IT also lost its first place at the cinema after onyl 17 days to Jumanji. Also never happened before. And right now it got even less movie goer support the Ewoks Battle for Endor!
This is the lowest point Star Wars ever reached in its history. And the billion dollar isnt reached yet, cause China flopped too (120 million estimated and only got 50 million at the opening weekend there). So learn to live with facts. SW TLJ supporters arent even a majority anymore and are almost a minority now.
It has crossed a billion already. Perhaps the facts are elusive to you. And I assure you, no movie that breaks a billion dollars is considered a flop.

It is even a major flop, cause it havent reached any estimation at all. That means that your producers are getting angry, cause they dont take the risk to invest so much money to get almost nothing back.
And no, the billion isnt reached (thats just old estimates your are stating (which I alredy corrected - as you could see with the flop in china)). The movie lost way too much income shares during the last week.

But youve shown another fact: How horrible this movie does domestic. It crashed within a week for 44%! And at this week (beside that this week contains December 31st and Janury 1st) it only got 80 million dollar! 80 million dollar at the third week at the domestic market ..... for a Star Wars movie!! I still cant believe how hard that movie flopped. So .... thanks a lot for your link. I never would have imagined how horrible the income for that movie is. Wouldnt it had been the presold tickets at the first week this movie wouldnt even reached a third billion domestic! This is really a shock for KK. As soon as people realized how desastrous this movie is the ticket sales crashed into the basement. I never experienced anything similiar horrible with any Star Wars movie before.

As stated .... im not happy that Star Wars moved that way (interesting that I, as an almost SW fan are more sad then many SW fans about that development). Cause I could presume what happens now. Noone at Disney will realize that KK was the problem with TLJ (hiring a puppy to direct a SW movie. What the ****? How emotionally weak is that women to allow just a clueless puppet to direct her movies?). They will most likely assume that SW became toxic and start to give the label a lower priority and budget (indeed there still will be SW movies made. Cause, as you mentioned, even this movie makes profit). So theres a real good chance that this is the beginning of the slow death of the saga.
