Challenge accepted. Do you really think there is any movie you can't superficially nitpick and apply the Daily Show comedy techniques to and not make a funny video for. Mocking anything is easy. Cynicism doesn't requireeffort. Milennials are masters at it including Rian Johnson. Engaging, appreciating, and seeing the layers and truths, that requires effort. Johnson did a pretty good job at that too but you wouldn't know it reading the comments many of you write.

No one can say much specific about what was good about this movie. Just a bunch of things like, "it moved the story forward", "it changed what starwars is about in a good way", "it was a much needed changed", "it challenged the viewer" etc. Just vague empty statements. The criticisms I'm reading are very detailed and specific.

I saw rogue one and thought that was brilliantly executed, and hated TLJ. And actually went into the theater that Rogue one looked stupid and TLJ was going to be amazing. And I made the opposite conclusion before reading any reviews. And when I did read reviews many of then matched my personal thoughts.

So if it's just nitpicky cynicism how to rogue one turn me into a fan and TLJ turn me off?
