The Burger King scene pissed me off

Obviously Burger King paid for this particular scene. But to have the lead who plays a gourmet star chef sit there and characterize the burgers as real food, show the burger and take it apart and actually compare it to french peasant food really pissed me off!! A chef would never do that. Nor would he ever eat at Burger King.

reply

Actually lots of chefs eat and enjoy junk food. Especially when they don't have to cook for themselves after a long shift.

reply

pissed you off! gordon ramsey eats mcdonalds and also it does represent peasant food like she said bad cuts of meat! its ok calling something 100% beef "but from what part of the cow" THEY MISS THAT BIT OUT THOSE JUNK FOOD HOAXERS.

reply

I'm not against junk food. It's not bad in small doses. The people that blame junk food for gaining weight, that's their own problem. They need to take responsibility for their own actions. Atleast there isn't waste in prosessed food. We appreciate the entire "fast food" "quick pick me up fix" if you will.

reply

I'm sure the scene was paid for but I think you missed the point of it. He explained that quality is meaningless if you are eating the same thing over and over. Creativity is what sets good chefs apart from the rest.

reply

Bingo.

"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"

reply

I think I saw Gordon Ramsey at a White Castle a few months back...

reply

Because...you know how chefs think, right? Food is food. If it tastes good it may be a guilty pleasure for people.

reply

what an ignorant post. just because someone is a high-class chef, they can't enjoy junk food? a buddy of mine works at Marea in NYC, i believe they have 2 Michelin stars, do you know what her favorite food is? Pizza Hut Supreme pizzas and Popeye's fried chicken.

reply

As a former chef thay enjoys fast food on occasion, and candy and other junk, I can tell you that my peers do the same.
However when I cook for my family, including 3 young children, I cook the way I have done in restaurants, including garnishing the plates.
