Ok you got a time machine and you can only go back a few hours before 9/11 happens, what do you do to stop it from happening.
And a heads up for the really young people, American government was not like it is today they ignored a lot of threats.

For real... i wouldnt because anything you do would likely be as bad or worse then what they do
If you called in to stop the planes like someone said this would cause massive ripples everywhere as it would effect every person in that airport and everyone they were going to see/do etc from that point on
People that have/would have had kids in that airport may never have kids what if them kids were the people who care cancer? what if one of them was a killer that in the future will kill millions of people?
What if in 5000 years a person from this airport would have had kids that had kids that had kids and he was the person who would save the world? this would never happen if that was the case so really you saving the people from 9/11 killed the world and 6 billion people with it

Im not sure i even understand some stuff i say but i think if you moved say a key to your house from one spot to another spot right by it and only you were around it would still do something to your timeline
It would have taken you longer to get the key when you go back or shorter amount of time this could lead to you being late to something or getting hit by a car because your time was off etc
