Eddie Redmain as a "hardman"? Suspension of disbelief gone
Eddie is an actor, and his expertise is "pretending" to be other people.
He's believable as a woman, as Stephen Hawking, as a wizard in Harry Potter world.
But as a "hardman" it's just too uncanny valley, unbelievable, far-fetched.
He looks 7 stone with wet clothing, a jaw made of paper, and has ladies hands.
Even Denis Villeneuve struggled to pull it off with Timothy Chalamet in Dune. And moments earlier he made us believe somebody was riding on the back of a space worm! Making Chalamet a tough guy was one special effect too far.
If there's any Redmain hand-to-hand combat with anybody that's not a woman, a small child or Peter Dinklage, and he wins, the suspension of disbelief is too much to handle.
Redmain would probably lose in a fight with Paddington Bear.
