James Spader's performance as Ultron was brilliant

At first I thought he made Ultron sound too human, but then he grew on me after the 2nd viewing. The acting and the entire demeanor of Ultron/James Spader was brilliant.

"I can't physically throw up in my mouth." - best line ever!

reply

Yes, Spader is brilliant but what performance wasn't to be honest?

RDJr nailed it yet again. Elizabeth Olsen surprised me as Wanda. Renner had so much to work with and really delivered himself.

Everyone was brilliant really.

reply

K dude.

reply

Maybe Ultron isn't so gone after all. Spader signed a multi-pic deal.

reply

Card carrying Commies may hate it, however.

reply

Better than pressed duck that's for sure.

reply

Whoa, he signed a multi-pic deal?

reply

He really brought something new to this film. Spader's Ultron was easily my favorite of the film. His fights with Iron Man and then Captain America were also the best.

reply

This is the movie we will all look back on as "prime" before Cap and Tony has their falling out. The TRUE Avengers team.

reply

Name a performance in this film that WASN'T brilliant. They all were.

reply

Ultron is still the best bad guy of the year. Mission Impossible is a great movie but a lame bad guy.

reply

Why was Bill O'Reilly in Iron Man 2 but never seen again in the MCU?

Pay that man his money.

Well, it's not like Winter Soldier didn't kick ass or Loki was cool as the other side of the pillow.

reply

That was Spader back at the ice cream store in that Seinfeld episode.

reply

Spader translated the Stargate and made interstellar transportation possible.

reply

He was better than any of those non-speaking Planet of the Ape performances.

reply

He was the best part of the movie.

If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now.-Loki (Marvel's Avengers)

reply

Because Whedon knows how to write a villain.

reply

Those who are saying Marvel doesn't do cool villains couldn't be more wrong. They add to every movie exactly what is needed. The heroes carry the films, not the bad guys.

reply

This is probably why Ultron is the best villain from any movie released this year. As well as it was written, Spader took it to the next level.

reply

What about Grant Ward over on AOS? While Agent Ward is highly trained in combat and espionage, he sometimes fails at interpersonal relations. He's a man of few words, but always cool under fire and ready for action. Fiercely loyal, he would give his life for S.H.I.E.L.D.

reply

I take it you've not watched the first two seasons.

reply

No one does it better.

reply

Watching it again at home pretty much confirms this.
