Blofeld should of been the main villain

At the end of Spectre Blofeld gets his trademark scar and gets arrested at the end. This was obvious he was gonna return in the next film. They should’ve made him the main villain in No Time to Die. Bond going head to head with Blofeld in the ultimate showdown in Craig’s last film. They even should’ve brought back the character Irma Bunt from 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

The pre title sequence could’ve been something like Irma Bunt helping Blofeld escape the prison. What a missed opportunity. What do you guys think?

reply

Eh ... Blofeld's been dead since Moore's bond dumped him down the smokestack. ;-)

Casino Royale was a reboot of the franchise. Clean slate.

I know its too late to complain, but I think they never should have brought Blofeld and Spectre back and stuck with Quantum from the first two Craig movies instead.

reply

You think so? I was happy that they brought back Bonds archenemy Blofeld. Waltz just wasn’t used to his full potential in Spectre and No Time to Die

reply

I love Waltz, but I don't think he was really right for the role of Blofeld. He's best in roles where he can be fun, and he sure was having a great time here playing crazy-not-crazy, but a fun villain doesn't really fit into the gritty world of Craig-Bond.

So I'm happy that he got to appear and play crazy-not-crazy, I just with the real villain had been better realized.

the same villain in two consecutive movies? wtf?

reply

Yeah but this is Blofeld. Bond’s archenemy

reply

It has happened before. You Only Live Twice (1967), OHMSS (1969) and Diamonds are Forever (1971).

Edit: but having said that, I feel that Blofeld just doesn't fit in the Craig universe.
