Live/Kill/Die most overused Bond title words

Live:
You only Live Twice (1967)
Live and Let Die (1973)
The Living Daylights (1981)

Die:
Tommorow Never Dies (1991)
Die Another Day (2002)
No Time to Die (2020)
Live and Let Die (1973)

Kill:
A View to a Kill (1985)
Licence to Kill (1989)

Best Title ( in my humble opinion) tie Dr. No or Thunderball.

Worst- Quantum of Solace

They keep recycling the word "Gold" too. They need to come up with better titles:

Gold:
Goldfinger (1964)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1973)
Goldeneye (1995)

reply

Yep, when they announce title, I though it's a joke "another die"?

reply

I think they should make an epic - To live, to kill and to die under the golden Sun.

I'm sure that "Diefall" and "GoldenDie" will be titles in the future (if this series has any future...). They will want to cash in on the inexplicable popularity of these two films. Maybe "GoldenSky" too.

Which reminds me, does anyone remember the announcement livestream last year where they announced an announcement? Remember how at the beginning they said "live from the GoldenEye estate in Jamaica" and then all the Craig loser fanboys in the live comments were like "ZOMG GUYZZ GOLDENEYE!!!!!" These idiots literally thought (1) GoldenEye was being remade and (2) that would actually be a good thing to be excited about. As bandwagon Craig fanboys who actually know nothing about Bond, they had no idea that Ian Fleming named his estate in Jamaica "Goldeneye" which is where the title of the film was later taken.

reply

How amusing. Who would've been what in a Craig remake of GE?

Craig- Bond (obviously)
Malik- 006
Ana de Armas- Natalya
Lashana Lynch- Onatopp
Jeffery Wright - Jack Wade/Felix
Robbie Coltrane - Zukovsky (again like Judi Dench)

My three least favourite titles are Spectre, Skyfall, and GoldenEye. I hate the one-word titles. All crappy films too. Also not too fond of Goldfinger, the title or the film. Thunderball is perhaps an exception.

reply

Quantum of Solace is a title Ian Fleming came up with not the Bond producers.

reply

That makes it a little better.. I still don't understand it.

reply

Not much happens in the story, it's actual the governor of the Bahamas telling Bond a story about a couple's tragic love story. (I don't remember too much since I read it like 2 years ago)
