I'm sorry, but Eilis was a hoe

she only wanted to marry tony once he showed him that he has land and was ready to leave him or Jim because jim was wealthy. She only came back because she had no other choice. She was completely motivated by money. She a hoe

reply

I thought she was going to marry Jim because she was infatuated with him, "forgetting" that she was already married.

reply

My thoughts exactly. It's not even about morals. I'd even be ok if she stayed in Ireland. But that cheesy ending after she got blackmailed and had no other choice, was such a complete joke.

Eilis made her true character known at the dance when she looked at the blonde conservative, folksy Irish girl and said, "get me away from her. She is horrible." She so obviously loved the hos who wanted to ho her up because it's what she aspired to.

reply

Well, even if so (and I do not agree with your arguments), she was the most interesting person in the movie.

I liked the film for its feel-good quality and its cinematography, but I did think it was a bit smooth and most characters were just too perfect. Eilis and miss Kelly were the only characters with any depth.

If the story was flipped and had shown the same circumstances and story line applied to Tony what word would you use to characterize him?

reply

Rather than a ho, she seemed to me to be a mere kunt.

reply

Mama issues....you have them.

reply

Your mother's a hoe. A filthy one too, with that putrid diseased twat of hers.

I'm always dragging that horse around...

reply

You have mama issues too. Bet you wear a fedora too.

reply

Too bad you're an illiterate twit whose only takeaway from a lovely and very real human (non-comic book inspired) story is that Eillis is a 'hoe'. Get f&^*ed.
