I HATE THE THEME/INTRO SONG
Anyone else actually listen or watch that intro...i mute and fast forward quick
"THE ANIMAL...THE ANIMAL...BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH"
Volume is like 10% louder on that song than the show

It was fine the first time, as was the beginnings of Dexter & Weeds, but it gets a tad tedious & repetitive; I do fast forward or leave the room to do something during the opening.
shareI didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. This season it is especially appropriate with the talk of the "animals" and the "cages are full." It drives me crazy when I watch a couple a night because then I get "you've got time ...." ringing in my head all day long!
shareI happen to love the intro. It also helps if you were a fan of Regina Spektor before OITNB. I think it just depends on the genre of music you like. I will say, binge watching anything and hearing the theme song over and over will be annoying for any show. Also doesn't help that the volume is much higher during the intro than it is during the actual episode.
Side note, the song was written specifically for the show. Jenji was a fan of Spektor's and asked her to write a song based off some edited clips. Thinking the intro song doesn't match the theme of the show makes no sense, though everyone's entitled to their opinion.
you would have to really love a song to listen to it every 20 or so minutes.

I just heard that song once. Now I skip to 1:15 immediately. It's a horrid song.

I agree. The entire opening is awful and way too long.
I skip right over it.
It's so long and uninteresting. Who wants to look at repetitive closeups for a minute and a half? Why would they have that every episode on a Netflix show?
