Chloë Sevigny should have played Frances
I don't know if Chloë Sevigny actually auditioned for the role, probably not, but does anyone else think that she would be perfect for it and a much better fit than Greta Gerwig?

Agreed. Chloe Sevigny is cool and all, but I don't find her as naturally likeable as Greta Gerwig. You need a bright spark to make someone like Frances tolerable...
