shareThese are interesting - especially the earlier version of Cat People. But there are other movies not listed that are much better. Repulsion, Cure, Audition, and especially the one that got me the most - The Vanishing (Spoorloos) the Dutch one in 1988. These movies are horrific psychologically than say slasher or giallos like Halloween or Meat Train or Carrie. And I think Longlegs was supposed to be just that - psychologically thrilling - and just wasn’t. And it wasn’t smart which was frustrating to watch. It did have a bit of a Carrie vibe with the mother. Piper Laurie is similar to Witt.
