So this makes Dracula Untold completely irrelevant now?

I thought Dracula Untold was supposed to be the start f this Dark Universe when it was released. I don't think it's necessarily a great or good movie but it kept me entertained for an hour and a half. Real shame because Luke Evans was awesome as Vlad.

Yeah, they decided they wanted to start fresh with this movie. Unfortunately this movie really does suck and Dracula Untold was much, much better.

May prove a good thing in the long run. We could still get an Untold sequel down the line after Dark Universe crashes and burns.

Unrevelant. They say that it may be saved later on down the line and that it will have a completely new origin story.
