How Scary Is This Film?

I'm thinking about showing this to my partner, who doesn't like jump scares much. Does this film have any? Otherwise, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being The Exorcist)how scary is it? I'm ok with mild horror (The Devil, Let The Right One In) but dislike gore. Thanks in advance :)

This film is not a horror by any standard. There is a suspense, all right, but it is not scary, except a few rare moments. On a scale of 1-10 this is a 2, at most.

Not scary but stylish and well directed, there is just one scary scene when the female vampire order the kid to be a good boy or she will kill him.

On a scale of 1 - 10 for scariness, it was maybe a 3 at most. This is not a horror film. It's a tense, odd, unnerving, moody drama, more along the lines of film noir. There are more moments of offbeat humour than there are scares. There's a small amount of fairly realistic violence, but not a lot. Only one scene that I can think of has some very minor "gore", but that scene is designed to encourage the audience to anticipate and applaud it. It's pretty tame as far as movie gore goes, and you have enough warning to close your eyes if you really can't handle blood. Personally, I thought the scariest part of the movie was to see such a realistic depiction of heroin addiction.

Great film, very watchable, fantastic soundtrack, beautiful looking, very dreamy and different.

It's a horror movie, it has scenes which are designed to be scary.

I wouldn't call it scary but it's definitely horrific in some scenes and creepy in others.

I found the film to be more of an unconventional thriller/romance rather than a horror film.

5/10 in terms of how "scary" it is.

It's not scary. There are no abrupt jump scares and little gore.
