James Franko. What was his cameo role anyway?

So what was James Franko supposed to be in the movie anyway?

From what I understand, he played the original captain of the ship and was killed when his cryo tube was damaged. He also appeared in the video footage his partner was watching in her cabin later.

The only thing that could have made this movie worse was more James Franco

Well, personally I really like James Franco; but what this movie truly needed was more cowbell.

He was supposed to be the captain, but the #MeToo movement struck and they put him deep freeze for molesting the crew while in deep sleep. Then he burned up - thank goodness for small favors.
