I don't think they handled the pre-hype and production teases very well. They just sorta dropped this out of nowhere when last we heard we might be getting a crossover with 21 Jump Street of all things. That crazy idea had a lot more hype than this does. And I think this looks good. But yeah. We were wanting this? It's their job to make us think we wanted this.

shareYep, without Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the leads, I can't see this being a success. Aside from RDJ and Scarlett Johansson, most MCU actors aren't exactly big draws at the box office. Chris Hemsworth in particular, is arguably the blandest of the Avengers.
Watching this film will probably feel what it'd really be like to meet the Men in Black. Seeing something quick and flashy that you most certainly won't remember.
I disagree about blandest avenger. Chris Hemsworth has some worthy qualities, including nice comedy skills.
shareI disagree as well. I have no interest in this movie but not because of Chris Hemsworth. He’s one of the most charismatic of the MCU actors. I don’t think I could sit through another Mark Ruffalo movie. Life is way too short for that.
I actually think Chris Hemsworth is underrated. You're right that he has not proven to be a box office draw but I'd argue that he should be.
Rush was an excellent film. In the Heart of the Sea was also pretty good, and, while I didn't enjoy it much the first time around, I have come to appreciate Blackhat as well. 12 Strong is also worth a watch.
I think all these movies are worthy of at least one go-around and he does a good job in them.
There are enough dummies who will flood the theaters to see this. Just you wait. I won't be one of them though.
