I was honestly really anticipating this movie
I'll still see it and judge for myself whether I think it's good or not, but with how it's getting shredded by critics I think I might give it a rent instead of a theatre viewing.

shareSame here :( From what I eared it's similar to the Resident Evil type of films and these are just noise to me...
Why? Just because Milla Jovovich plays in both?
shareApart from the first Zoolander (and Dazed and Confused, in which she appears only very briefly) has Jovovich ever been in a good film? She's like a bad luck charm.
shareFifth element is good
shareTrue.
It was an honest question (admittedly one I could answer for myself just by checking Jovovich's filmography). The Fifth Element is indeed an entertaining film, although I still maintain that Jovovich has made far more duds than hits.
Absolutely!!
Tons of them...
What do you think of her as Joan of Arc?
Some praise it as her best ...
It’s been 20 years since I have seen it but I totally forgot she played that role...
Bummer about Hellboy!
I was really hoping it would be a good unique movie
She started off okay. She made Chaplin, and Dazed and Confused (albeit they were small parts). And then there was The Fifth Element, which is fun, and Joan of Arc (which I haven't seen), followed by the consistently enjoyable Zoolander. But apart from that, it's mainly been pap.
Even Kate Beckinsdale, who also has the same problem, thanks to the Underworld franchise (goes to show what happens when a female actor ends up getting married to an overgrown video-game obsessive hack filmmaker - they end up getting bogged down in poor CGI-fest franchises), has finally graduated from that type of dreck.
Everyone is forgetting about the greatest movie ever - Kuffs.
shareI love Milla, but her movie track record really isn't very good.
shareDo not know why but I read 3 reviews who made that comparisons
shareI'm not interested in this one. I expected better reviews from fans. So far, its mixed. We'll see after friday when more people watch it. The only reason I would watch it is because I like Niel Marshall. Dog Soldiers was awesome.
shareSo was The Descent.
What happened to Neil Marshall?
Imo The Descent is one of the best horror movies ever made. I was expecting great things from Neil Marshall after that, I don't know what happened to him. I was interested in Hellboy just because Marshall is the director, I hoped that this would be a hit and put him back on the map. Looks like that won't be happening. I'll wait for the dvd.
shareIt sounds like it's a very violent, form over function film that not everyone can appreciate. I'm still willing to give it a go.
