Just going by the fact that it's a hollywood superhero movie from 2010s, there's statistically at least 90% chance it will suck balls.
shareI don't. I love the comics, I love the films. I'm not sad HB3 never got made cause I don't think things were going in a great direction. But with this movie, I think they're going to err too hard the other direction, and produce something too dark and humorless and edgy.

It all sounds promising so far. And I have zero doubt Harbour is going to be absolutely perfect in the part. Iconic as Perlman was as Hellboy, Harbour’s Hellboy looks like the absolute real deal (and yes I expect his performance shall be outstanding). A real beast!
I'm optimistic. I love the Hellboy comics.
shareCamera bootleg leaked. Looks just like the first movie. Not seeing any evidence of a "horror film" or "closer to the roots" like they've been talking about.
shareI, too, am a fan of the comic and the movies. I am worried about this new one. I would not bet money on it to be good.
If you haven't seen the two animated movies then let me recommend you do. Perlman voices and they follow a few stories from the comic fairly well.
I wish they'd make an BPRD movie. Though I'd be worried about it too.
There really aren't good movies anymore so really this doesn't have a chance in Hell, pardon the pun. I kinda gave up after I saw Mad Max 4..the only two movies I've seen since were Jurassic World 5 and that creepy movie where the little girl clucks and gets her head knocked off leaning out the window. None of these movies were very good, maybe movies will come back next decade who knows?

Although I really enjoyed Isle of Dogs, and (if you like capeshit) Infinity War. MI:Fallout was OK too. Tons of mediocre and outright bad movies though.
