One of the all time worst movies

Sure, there are thousands of terrible B-movies with low budgets and mediocre talent, but considering the pedigree of this piece, it has to go down in history as one of the most self-indulgent, ill conceived, laugh out loud embarrassments of all time. The only recent stinker with similar pedigree that was as bad was David O. Russell's Joy, but I didn't get far enough in to really comment. The first 20 minutes, though, were cringe worthy.

I hated the book, but was hoping the movie would be better. It wasn't!! I hated both the book and the movie. Not sure why, but Amy was a beast and Affleck can't act his way out of a paper bag.

I believe that this is a solid 7/10 movie. It does not deserves to be in the Top 250.

I fully agree.

The only part that I enjoyed was the little twist in the middle, but it was a sheer dribble afterwards. People still thought it was thought provoking or something just because there was a slasher at the end (yawn), and the main character cave into the demands of the main woman (again yawn).

There's always THIS post.

Well, it is a dumb, stupid movie. No doubt about it. But it has great atmoshpere, which masks the flaws in a good way, so it's entirealy possible to go through the movie not getting hung up on them.
