NO, because if three men got together and did the same things to the cheating woman, it would be sexist.

GROW UP miss 'oh poor women are victims and the evil men who use and abuse all women'. This isn't empowering, this movie was just predictable and sexist.

What part of my comment made you think that I believe all men are evil/damsel in distress crap?

I thought this movie was empowering because it was a feel good comedy about women and shenanigans...and reasons why the age old saying "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" is still around and true.

Were the roles reversed and men got together and found themselves in slapstick shenanigans against a cheating woman, it would be just as funny.

With that said, the actual gender of any of the characters had nothing to do with my enjoyment of the film. I would have enjoyed the movie just as much if it had been men. Still would have called if a feel good movie and said it was empowering to men. The cheater got what the cheater deserved, man or woman. This film it just happened to be a man.

Not all feminists have a stick up their ass and not all believe men are evil or whatever bullsh*t you tried to throw at me. Don't presume to judge me like you know what I'm thinking.

I didn't say I knew of one, I simply said I would go see it if it were made.

And the fact that I can't name one is what's wrong with society. People are so extreme in their beliefs that they make other people afraid to pursue their own beliefs for fear of offending them. People say they want gender equality but it's only socially acceptable to make films where the man is the cheater in a relationship and the women to get revenge. Were the roles reversed, I wouldn't mind it but many people I know would be up in arms. In a film a woman might be the cheater but you'd never see men getting revenge. They would just have to take it and move on.

Do I believe the world still is unfair to women? Yes, but not in every aspect of life. Do I want gender equality? Of course, but make it actual gender equality. None of this, we can make fun of men but not women. Everyone needs to stop crying inequality when they don't like something.

Neither a feminist nor a woman and I enjoyed it but as you'll note, that one man they were connected to [Leslie Mann's husband and Cameron and Kate Upton's squeeze] was evil, and there were men helping out [one in the office and the other played by that one time Miami Vice guy Don Johnson, who played the father of one of 'em]. So in short, on your side, though no feminist. I thought that the genders played very nicely..in fact only ONE evil man, and that again was the starring one (Nicholas who-ever--the leading man of this flick.) Very funny and got it on Amazon.comn Kindle player.

But its okay for hundreds and hundreds of movies to be made where women get kidnapped, raped tortured etc.. dont see many of those movies with roles reversed

It's offensive to human beings, period. It's so bad. "The sweetest thing" still remains Miss Diaz's worse excuse of a movie but this came close. Not funny at all.

Since you're so interested I'll tell you:
1. Some family members recommended it. They said it was somewhat funny. Not super funny or anything. But that it was "fine" and they laughed at some parts. "I'm really not a fan of Cameron Diaz" I told them, "Oh, don't worry, she's fine in this. Leslie is the one who's funny anyway". Bless them.
2. I honestly was NOT going to see it but there was nothing else playing in a theater near me and really was in the mood for a movie. All the decent movies playing, I had already seen. And after the thumbs up it received from my family I sincerely thought it would be funny and thought it was worth giving it a try.
3. The only thing that indicated I might not like it was Miss Diaz name on the poster.
4. I try to avoid trailers as much as I can, so no, since I didn't see the trailer, it didn't show me anything.

Now that I think about it, maybe I was too harsh judging this movie. Actually, I did like the dog and the hot guy that ended up with Cameron.

I'm not trying to be snobbish. I like silly comedies as much as anyone else. I liked The Hangover, and that movie with Jennifer Aniston pretending to be Adam Sandler's wife, The Proposal, This is 40 (with Leslie Mann) and many others. When done right, romantic comedy is my favorite genre. Notice please the part where I wrote "when done right".

It was. I thought Cameron Diaz' character was OK but Leslie Mann's is one of the most offensive things I've ever seen. Only funny thing about this film was the gang of men in the row in front of me. They laughed with the film, I laughed at them.

There were many men in my theater. My boyfriend is straight. I think men who are secure with themselves, and are not cheaters, would not take offense to it.

It is offensive to women. Actually, most Hollywood movies are. Are you familiar with the Bechdel test? They take a movie and see whether there is a dialogue between at least two women in it. If it is, they see if they talk about something else than men. Almost no Hollywood movie achieves a passing grade. Most of them don't even have dialogue between women, and those who do, they always feature a conversation about men. Women do not talk about politics, life, etc. Their speech is always subordinated to men's.

And then there is this movie. Almost all dialogue is betweeen women. And what do they talk about? MEN. 98% of the time.

That's because overall, it is .....not that men have an abundance of meaningful conversation. Our society on a whole is comprised of dumb-ass's that believe what they're told, and elect George Bush twice. If you want a barometer of todays woman, take a look at the # of nail salons, the amount of women carrying bags that cost hundreds if not thousands, and look like a K-mart bowling ball bag. No one can tell me that if these weren't "trending", anyone would be seen dead with one. Then we have the "Uggs" .....Same thing applies, but with an added caveat. They wear these in sloppy weather, and then pay a cleaner $50 to clean them, and repeat the process. Look at who is walking around staring at their device with thumbs flailing away, messaging pure crap. I could go on ad-nausea. The American society on the whole is pretty pathetic, and women have reached an all time low. So please, can the "I'm offended" speech .....

That's a very interesting theory/point. And I can say I don't disagree with it, because thinking about it, it's pretty much spot on. The only other topic I can think about is children: when you see two woman having a dialogue, they talk about their children. But even that ultimately gets back to their men and family life. I'm going to look into this "test" some more, you've got me interested!

What did you find offensive about it? I felt like it had a good message for women. They were all working together. There was a sense of sisterhood and solidarity, and eventually the wife character started her own business. It wasn't about "finding another man" or anything like that. It was about friendship.

The only thing I didn't like is that Kate Upton was portrayed as the hot girl air head. Why can't she be a smart hot girl? Other than that I enjoyed it. My whole theater was laughing.

I think when they are drugging and slipping him steroids that was pretty horrible. Can you imagine a movie where a cheating wife was treated like that? I liked how the women stuck together and formed a friendship instead of having the man turn them into enemies. It would have been better if they showed that the women ALREADY had friends and didn't need something like this to snap out of it, as though once they are around a man they lose all their identity.
