I have no idea why audiences like Inside Out so much? Is it cuz parents are desperate to find an enjoyable animated family film?

reply

I don't think this is a film for kids.

reply

I mean, kids can definitely watch it. It’s a family movie. You think it’s too inappropriate or something?

reply

Wait, Inside Out 1 or 2?

reply

I believe that I wrote Inside Out. Are you alright? You seem strangely confused for no apparent reason.

reply

This is the Inside Out 2 thread, you used present tense, and used "audience"; which is why I questioned if you really meant the first one or not.

The first one is an all time great film. Seems like you disagree, which is of course fine.

reply

If you need an explanation, it's probably not worth the discussion. You may not agree, but consensus is that Inside Out is way deeper than most "animated family films". Pixar has made many superb movies, yet this one manages to stand out.

Interesting that no Pixar movie has grossed more than $1.2b. Figured one of the Toy Story films or The Incredibles 2 had to have done it.

reply

Adjusted for inflation they might have.

I found the first one to be a clever, fun, unique idea that hadn't been done to death already in the past. I really enjoyed it's writting and presentation. Even bought it. Just a well made Pixar Concept.

Have not seen this one yet, but will, probably buy it too.
If it's a GOOD movie, it deserves the accolades.

Yeah really the only other one that comes to mind for me exploring a similar theme was the 1991-1993 Sitcom Herman's Head, however that was about an Adult, so exploring it younger was interesting, plus on Herman's Head they only delved into his ones not other Characters.

About $1.5B at end of July, only $50m to go.
