Out this Friday.
Anyone here going to see it?
I'm waiting for digital as always. Fingers crossed this does well at the box office. Looking forward to checking it out at some point.

How has the Jigsaw Killer evaded Police and or FBI for so long without so much as being caught and him receiving a 9MM slug for his trouble??
sharetheres 10 of this shit now ! dayum!
im going to go see Saw X this weekend on Saturday at the theater downtown. Been awhile since last year where I binge watched Saw 1 to Saw 7 for DVD to get back into the Saw movies.
I heard there's a post credits scene for Saw X but Im not gonna sit and wait for 10 minutes or whatever just to see a scene if a favorite Saw character shows up in the post credits scene or whatever. i can wait to see that when i buy Saw X for DVD/blu ray for that post credit scene anyway.
Mexican folk think they can pull a fast one on John Kramer in the Saw universe. Think again
Me. I'm going to see it sometime this weekend.
Signed, million man.
why "as always"? Do you do this for all films or just the Saw films? Even with the first couple of Saw films?
shareI do it with all movies. I don't value the theatrical experience and I haven't been to a cinema since 2019, I greatly prefer watching movies in the comfort of my own home, late at night, whilst getting black out drunk.
sharewhat changed after 2019? Covid?
shareFLESHLIGHT TECHNOLOGY HAS MADE GREAT STRIDES IN THE LAST FEW YEARS...I ASSUME THAT EXPLAINS IT.
shareYeah. Lockdowns meant cinemas were closed for a good while, then movies starting arriving on digital very quickly. You had some big Warner Bros. movies being available to watch at home from the first day of their release.
Pre-Covid it was 8 weeks (sometimes more) after the theatrical premiere for a movie to arrive on digital services, now it's often 3-4 weeks. Makes waiting for digital that much easier.
The whole industry had a major shift towards the digital market during Covid, it was forced upon them but most of the studios have embraced shorter theatrical exclusivity.
Also as I said I've never been big into the whole 'big screen experience', I find having to share a theatre with others a nuisance (hate it when people are talking or checking their phones). Much better watching a movie solo and with a couple of drinks. Pre-Covid I only went to the cinema maybe 4 or 5 times a year.
SOLO WITH SOME BUD IS COOL...I PREFER WATCHING MOVIES WITH ANOTHER PERSON THOUGH...I ENJOY THE SHARED EXPERIENCE...I AGREE ABOUT THEATERS THOUGH...I LOVED THEM MOST OF MY LIFE...BUT MOST OF THAT WAS BASED ON TRADITION AND FILM EXCLUSIVITY.
shareI sort of agree about the nuisance stuff(i turn off my phone completely) but seeing a premiere or a good horror or comedy flick is great with an audience. Love the collective gasps, shrieks, or laughs on something like that. I remember the first hangover movie was especially fun in theaters.
Plus something recent like barbenheimer was a treat to see in theaters. Everyone was in pink and having a great time during barbie and the 70mm imax screening i went to was immersive and quite an experience as well with cinephiles there to witness nolans new explosive film.
We even have a few more auteur films coming down the pike with scorsese, mann, and ridley scotts new entries set to premiere and I will definitely be seeing those "on the big screen"! Viva cinema! 🎥
ALI JUST STARTED WATCHING THE SAW FLICKS...SHE IS ON THE SECOND OR THIRD RIGHT NOW...I IMAGINE WE WILL WATCH THE NEW ONE DIGITALLY AT SOME POINT...ONCE SHE GETS CAUGHT UP.
shareCool.
I was a big Saw fan in my teens. The first came out when I was 10 years old, me and my siblings rented it when I was 11. Was stellar stuff. Then with the first 7 getting released yearly it basically became a big part of my teenage years right till the end of high school. Every year a new Saw movie to buy on DVD.
For the record Saw X takes place between Saw and Saw II. So even if she doesn't watch all 9 entries, you both could hypothetically watch Saw X.
Should be on digital in time for Halloween.
I WILL KEEP THAT IN MIND...OH...BY THE WAY...I BELIEVE I SAW EVERY SAW FILM IN THEATERS UP UNTIL JIGSAW...I HAVE A GREAT APPRECIATION FOR THE OCTOBER SAW TRADITION.
shareI may watch it in a theater (I live next to one) but digital is more convenient, mainly because I can pause the movie.
sharethis Saturday which is technically early morning Saturday right now, later today during 12:40 im going to be at the movie theater in the downtown area to see Saw X.
Either that or wait til next week for the new Exorcist reboot sequel
