I'm yet to play GTA 5, that will be on my list though.
Thought this would be relatively easy, but then I started thinking (probably too deeply!) and decided it's impossible!! Too many great games that I've enjoyed over the years!!
Tried to narrow it down and had to include Game series, as others have done!!
1: The Last of Us - Has to be one of the best I've played, there are very few games I've played more than once, I've completed this one 8 times now!!
2: Resident Evil - The whole series, been hooked ever since the Zombie Doberman leapt through the window in Resi 1!!
3: Tomb Raider - Again, can't narrow it down to one! Enjoyed all that I've played!
4: Assassins Creed - Stunning series of games, can't choose a favourite!
5: Uncharted - (see above comment!!)
6: GTA 4&5 - Hated the first one, eventually caved in after many years of hearing how good the newer games were! GTA 4 was excellent and 5 somehow improved on it!!!
7: Tekken - Again the whole series! Was hooked on the original and it just got better and better!
8: Manic Miner - Obviously it looks horrible by today's standards, but as a kid on my ZX Spectrum, I played it for hours on end!!
9: Uridium - Absolutely loved this at the time on the Commodore 64, always imagined I was actually controlling the Millennium Falcon!! I know I'm sad!
10: Metal Gear Solid - Cracking series of games!

Red Dead Redemption - Don't we all want to be a Clint Eastwood character at some point!!!
The Saboteur (both the modern Paris WW2 game and the old Ninja type game!!)
Stranglehold & Sleeping Dogs - Love my Hong Kong movies and these games put me right in the action!!
Head over Heels - Another game taking me back to my ZX Spectrum days!!

That signature use of multiple exclamation marks, prolonged aggressive storytelling, and HK references can belong to no other man.
GTA "The Lost and Damned"/"The Ballad of Gay Tony" and the original "BioShock" are to be mentioned here too.
You can come up with the top 10, but seriously speaking, you will fail to decide which one is the best of the best. It depends greatly on your personal genre inclination. If you enjoy Westerns, go no further than "RDR", if you are into HK Action - "Stranglehold" will suit your needs, and if you are craving for something in a Sc-Fi/Survival trend with insane atmosphere - "BioShock" is the choice for you, and still if you are content with mindless vulgar action, get a "DNF" copy.
By the way, how do you find so much time to play your favourites, which you really have in spades? Remembering myself, having been playing through "KH" ("Kingdom Hearts") for almost a decade already (NO joke). But maybe such games of "7+" PEGI guidance are just above my IQ?
