If anybody is rethinking about watching this, you'd better re-rethink it, cuz it's scary as hell and extremely well done!!!!
Anybody else feel like this was one of the scariest movies you've seen in the last 10 years??

Actually it was the most boring horror movie I have ever seen and one of the least scariest, there wasn't a second of that movie where I felt scared in any way shape or form.
shareIt takes a lot to genuinely scare me these days but something about that first segment made me have to stop watching it just before it finished. I didn't continue the film for about three months and finished it last night. No other film affected me like that. I think it was my fault for watching it in the dark.
shareI just watched it and whilst I don't think it's great, I do think it was scary. The main problem being that the scariest story was the first one (I'm ignoring the wrap around because that was just blah) and none of the others reached the same level, they really should have left that one for last.
Looking forward to seeing the next one now, it's supposed to be a little better. I agree with some of the other posters though, it wouldn't have hurt to try and connect the stories somehow. A real anthology has a theme and I don't think "found footage" counts as a theme in itself.

I cant say its the scariest movie, because I watch A LOT of horror movies both mainstream and underground.. But this movie surprisingly made me jump a couple of times (didnt think I could do that anymore)! Like when the succubus found the "glasses guy" at the bottom of the stairs and how her face was before and after the camera focused.. Not to mention when she was getting stripped and I saw her feet.. I paused it and was like, wtf? Something isnt right.. Stared at it for a good 3 mins trying to figure out wtf she was lol, at 1st I thought she was a cat morphed into a human :P
The other thing that really got me (not scared me, but was something I hadnt seen before or at least cant remember seeing..) is the hands coming out of the walls and the birds flying around in the Haunted House.. It was also a GREAT twist when the car stopped and she turned out to be a ghost. Though I did see it coming somewhat it was IMO a GREAT execution by the director! The other stories were kinda boring and the one in the woods had PAINFULLY bad acting.. The only reason I kept watching was the hope I'd see blondie strip lol. However, I did laugh when the masked woman put the guys toothbrush in the toilet on Second Honeymoon lol, and the ending of that segment was actually kinda nice.
She wasn't a ghost. She was possessed by a demon.
When they were at the house, she was not possessed because she said "Don't leave me here". Those guys were Satanists, they wanted to sacrifice her to the demons. That's why he said "You guys shouldn't be here". But when those guys escaped with her, a demon managed to possess her.
Great to know it was a demon and not a disappearing ghost in the backseat as depicted in ghost stories throughout the ages.. Now I can rest my weary brow at night..
Why does it matter? The segment was enjoyed.
i am watching it now finished the kills in woods segment. i hate all the random conversations\jokes. but once it get to the kills they are showing decent gore. if jackass was a horror movie it would look like this
Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today
the movie didn't scare me one bit, but I still liked it's style and the way director told all the mini stories reminded me of those Twilight Zone episodes from the 80's that I've watched as a kid - corny, unbelievable stuff, but very immersing and entertaining nonetheless. It's the best "found footage" film that I've watched since Blair Witch anyway
