Why is this movie at a 4.5/10

When transformers is at like 6.8?!?!? It's alright, it's not terrible! Grown ups 2 was a BILLION times worse, and it's higher than 5!

That's my Boy was hilarious. This movie was just ok. There is just something about obese woman comedians that I don't find funny. Like Rosanne Barr.

I just gave thus film a 2. It's crap.

No, this IS as bad as Grown Ups 2.

More's the pity.

I'm not going to compare it to other films, but I think 4.5 is pretty accurate. There were a few laughs but too few. A excellent cast and good music saved it from being a total stinker, but it failed as a comedy. It tells you something when the funniest part was a blooper at the end.

This exactly. I like Melissa & Sarandon, I thought this film had potential... It was either painfully unfunny awkward or just feel flat. And her love interest? Towards the end I had to ask my SO what on earth that guy brought to the table, and he said, "he was willing to kiss MM". The seemingly talented cast seemed so unused. The only time I honestly laughed was the blooper at the end.

Because people use the voting system subjectively instead of using it to rate the quality of a movie/series by general standards. That's why pile of crap movies get to 7+(cause the broader audience which consists of majority of dumb people are like AWESOME 10/10!"!!!!"!") while highly underrated movies that are way better in quality and content linger around at 6(cause the people who actually vote by general standards give it a 8+, while the audience I mentioned before give it a 1/10 cause it sucked ass in their opinion and since they represent the majority of the population it weighs heavy on the overall rating)

It's a common thing and can basically be reflected to almost anything in life that can be seperated by quality.

In all fairness though, Tammy was really not good. I agree that it was better than Grown Ups 2, but Grown Ups 2 has Adam Sandler and Kevin James, so like 90% of the dumb population saw it and gave it 6/7+.

That's how it works :D

If there was a 0, it would be for this movie

It's not a great movie but don't worry, Transformers will go down in flame. Studios have plants voting big blockbuster movies up in their first weeks in theatres. No, I'm not kidding. Yes, I know people who were paid to do that 7 days a week as interns.
