Okay, I want to know. Who LIKED this movie?

I see a lot of negative threads on here, and negative reviews everywhere like Amazon and other places. I get it if someone didn't like it, but I guess like a lot of arthouse movies, the masses seem to dislike movies that some reviewers did. I even noticed that it's the same thing from other movies released by A24 like "Under The Skin," "Enemy" and even "Locke" has been given some sort of negative treatment by movie fans. However, I can't say the same thing about "The Rover" or "The Spectacular Now."

Anyway, maybe I am just too open-minded, but I actually liked this movie for some odd reason. Yes, the movie is odd, yes, it doesn't make sense most of the time unless someone were to analyze what was really going on, which I did and I listened to Harmony Korine's commentary and it seemed to make more sense. I have seen this about three or four times. I even own it on Blu-Ray, not to mention that I saw it in theaters.

I can see why a lot of people dislike this movie. It's not a movie for everybody, and it's definitely not a mainstream movie. However, it seems like there is a minority of people who DO like it. I guess I am in that minority.

All I need is one mic...

I liked it enough to where I won't say I regret watching it, but it was only so-so. People keep saying it's misunderstood, but the point of the movie doesn't matter enough to change the score much on this one, because a lot of the reason I didn't rate it high was mediocre acting and drawn out story where not much happened.

I think this is one of the best films of the decade.

Also, for what it's worth, I work in the film industry and almost everyone I've talked to about this film thinks it is great. I also talked to someone who worked on the film and he said the experience, specifically working with Harmony Korine, was one of the best experiences he's had.

it has pros and cons ,but the fact that i watched it 3 times kinda speaks FOR it:)....but there are some really annoying and cringeworthy parts
the same goes for some really beautiful scenes and haunting music

I didn't like it. I LOVED it. This movie is deeper and way more complex than the GP think.

I like it... I don't 'love' it but yeah I 'like' it it's got cool atmosphere and cinematography plus James Franco's character is rather interesting and got some good ol gangsta sh!t in it so yeah I like it

I can understand those who don't like it because of the lack of likeable characters though, the only one remotely likeable is Selena Gomez
