Playtest is brilliant
What kind of stuff does one have to go through to come up with a story like that, I'd love to play that game though

shareHoly *beep* I just finished it but I have no one to talk to about it. Episode 2, I mean. Play test was so mucked up.
I didn't care for ep 1 - the actress from jurassic world - I don't like her as an actress.
Wtf Connor. This is going to stick with me a while.
Yeah Im watching them but it seems the title list is out of order.
Playtest was 2nd for me but it says online that it is Shut Up and Dance.
And as you said the jurassic world episode was 1st for me, I dont have a namne for it but Im guessing by the titles it has to be nosedive, but online it says the 1st episode is San junipero.
Side note , Bryce Dallas Howard, I was wondering if that was her,,,, is a really annoying actress, and I really wanted something a little better to happen at the end of that episode.
None of the episodes are connected, who cares?
share*beep* I thought that was Jessica Chastain in Jurassic World all this time.
shareScared the crap out of me - and I'm extremely hard to scare.
I just found it exceptionally distressing and nightmarish. Maybe it is just me, but...woah.
So... err... thumbs up 10/10
"To err is human...so...errrr..." - Gary King
I think it should've finished when he said "I don't know who I am." Would've been far more effective.
shareYea it got a little weird after that...Felt a bit rushed and all over the place. But the rest of the story was great.
I read this in a chola accent.share
Are you kidding?
The ending was the whole point and was fantastic.
Maybe you didnt get it. Watch the ending again.
Do you see where he is at the very end?
And also, what she typed in?
I'm curious.
Can you explain your interpretation?
The entire episode was him dealing with "calling his mom". Sonja told him to call his mom over and over, and he repeatedly tried and failed to call mom. The very last thing the testing chick wrote in the Notes area on the computer was "Called Mom". IMO it was a genius statement about running away vs. turning and facing your fears....and the simulation was supposedly all about fear. Brilliant
shareDo you see where he is at the very end?

At the very final frame Katie typed in -Called Mom-
He called mom finally, the one thing he had been avoiding his whole trip.
It was very sad, to me.
But he didnt call his mom. He was strapped to a chair, not in reach of his phone. In fact, his mom called HIM. I think they meant he called out "MOM". He yelled her out the words "mom", calling out to her.
shareYes your right. I didnt mean he literally called her, but he finally called out to her, which was the sad part, dont you think?
And also, she typed the test was 0.04 seconds, which means everythng we saw took place in an instant of real time, from when the game was uploaded to when the phone rang. Crazy stuff.
Indeed it was very sad. He feared getting Alzheimer's himself. He feared his mom getting it. And then he got to experience both. I can relate, as my mom's mom died from the same thing. So I too worry about me and/or my mom suffering a similar fate. So this episode affected me on another level.
shareAnd she should've typed '' Called 'mom.' '' Not 'Called mom' as that implies he phoned his mother. In fact she would most likely have written ''Cried out the word 'mom' or ''said 'mom' '' but that wouldn't be ironic.
Yeah, what are you talking about?
shareI think he meant that the play test was a test of your deepest fears and at the end his greatest fear, so great that it killed him, was the fear of he not seeing his Mom and his mother left worrying for him after his father just died recently. Ironic since he traveled the world to get away from his Mom. Ironic since his lover suggested that he calm his Mom, which if he did would've saved his life
shareBut we don't know if that was the machine's real purpose as that was all a dream.
Grant discovered raptor eggs in Jurassic Park
Funny, after spending the day binge watching the whole season I would definitely say that (in my opinion) playtest was the weakest of the new episodes. I still very much enjoyed it, but just found it perhaps a little predictable.
All in all, an excellent 6 and a half hours of television and I'm still yet to find anything Charlie Brookers name is attached to that isn't pure brilliance!
Having watched them all now I'd say it was the most predictable, though still the most fun, which is strange given the mystery is one of the shows qualities
shareI would have liked it more if the main character wasn't such an insufferable douche.
shareAgreed, the whole time I was thinking he was a discount Kurt Russel, really cringe worthy over the top acting to be honest. Of course I since found out he is Kurt's son, he unfortunately didn't inherit his dads looks or acting talent. I liked the episode despite not being able to understand the whole conversation in Japanese at the end.
shareIndeed - this was the strongest elisode by far. Probably not the best of the ideas from the new episodes, but it was the best fun and best made of the lot. Great direction and a great lead performance from the actor. Just watching the final episode - which is awful!
