Anyone notice any easter eggs?

Not sure if someone else has pointed this out already but in Hated in a Nation, when the news channel is on at the bottom of the screen they have other news stories, one was about cookies having human rights (White Christmas) and another was about SaitoGemu's new game (Playtest) there might have been others too I think.

So did anyone else see references in any other episodes?? I assumed that they all took place in separate universes but maybe some are connected?? :)

One of the soldiers was singing Anyone Who Knows What Love Is. I love that they sneak that in from time to time.

Where else have they snuck that song in?

-The night is a very dark time for me.
-It's dark for everyone, moron!
-Not for Alaskans...

reply

White Christmas - Bethany sang it at pub karaoke while Joe was getting drunk.

'Would you kindly open the door' in Playtest.

reply

I loved that one

Nice. Thanks for these, I had missed them. Might give me an excuse to watch all s03 again!

There was a Back to the Future reference in San Junipero, with the jittery digital man on the TV like in the Café '80s in BTTF II (1989).

The WiFi password is "Mother"

That was Max Headroom. He was known outside of BTTF2.

the Conference mentioned in Nosedive, the girls on the bus that gives her a ride - that's the same TV-show, as mentioned in s01e01.
the guy doing the special effects, using Rod Senseless to make a fake pig-video, is mentioned to have won an award for his work on that same TV show.

In hated in the nation the case Blue had dealt with was the case from White Bear, the person she named was Iain Rannoch Victorias partner

reply

In Shut Up and Dance, around the last 10 mins of the episode when they show the CEO's computer screen, you can see news blurbs on the right side talking about the Prime Minister's divorce (National Anthem) and talk about the Victoria case (White Bear)

And the launch of the talent show 15 Million Merits is there as well.

And a link to an ad for cookies.

And just above that, an ad for the new amazing kitchen helper - the cookie

Yeessss.. This is one of my favorite parts of this show is that the cleverly give you those easter eggs... making multiple viewings even better. I kept looking for them while watching yesterday. I only picked up on the song one but figured there had to be more as they always hide something in the print.
