I guess I'm one of the few that loved it?

Seems like it's pretty unfairly getting picked apart. I know it's not perfect, but I can't help but love how genuine it felt. There were no forced conflicts between crew mates, no love triangles, no overly exaggerated personalities, just seemingly real people trying to fix a problem on a planet they know nothing about. Personally I loved the speed of the film, or lack thereof. I guess I don't understand the need to point to minor inconsistencies as if they somehow diminish what was otherwise a refreshing take on the Michael Bay-esque plots we've all gotten so used to. This is everything I wanted the horrid Apollo 18 to be.

You are not the only one...

My problem was the editing.
The first half of the film goes non-chronologically, and the other half stops doing that.
In the first 2 minutes, we learn that James will die, which takes away the feeling from his death later on.

Also, I didn't like the constant intrusion of those Earth scientists, to give it a quasy-documentary look.

You're definitely not alone. It was a good movie that felt realistic yet interesting. The rating says it all, it's a good movie.

I'm with you...just watched it today and really, really liked it!

My husband and I loved it too and for the same reasons you outlined. That last glowing image will stay with me always ... not many movies can do that for me.

i loved every moment of it

Same here, I loved it too. Shame there aren't more of these movies to be found.

I think it's a great film.

I was very bothered with the on Earth director(?) woman, but I can see the reason of her role, it sides you to Earth, on a safe place, and it also puts you in doubt whether the last girl made it home or not.

It's one of the few movies that really transports you to the place, 100% believable, the Europa surface images are mind blowing and realistic. I was annoyed I couldn't get off the stuck cameras and hover around the landscape.

Agreed. All the reasons you stated are the reasons it's a great film. I've only viewed it once but think it's one of those films that will get even better for me on multiple viewings.

I'll tell you in another life when we are both cats.

I loved it. I found the pace gripping and steady. It was not a thriller action movie and to be honest, don't we have enough of those filled with Hollywood Cliches?

This was a believable movie with good acting, yeah there were some plot holes but I am willing to overlook them. The one thing I did not like.. The lack of chronological order in the first half of the movie. It makes you lose your way a bit when you are trying to get to know the characters. Other than that I found it 90 minutes well spent.
